"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". Here at Sunlife, we subscribe to the saying as well!
Over the week, our bakers had the opportunity to display their creative flair while experimenting with cup cakes- a dessert which they have never tried to bake before. Of course, some of the end results are pretty disastrous, but we would like to keep things real by showcasing raw, unfiltered pictures of some of the end results. Naturally, we are amazed by how the minute alterations to the combination of ingredients (E.g Eggs and butter) and change in piping techniques can play such a significant role in changing the outcome of the end product.
Without further ado, here are the results of our experiments in chronological order:
Experiment 1: Piping attempt made the cupcakes look like potted plants. The orange colour frosting is vanilla cream added with colouring. Taste of the milo frosting was excellent, but the vanilla cream ones were substandard.
Experiment 2: Is that a starfish or flower as the topping..? Taste has achieved the current standards we set, but the piping techniques and visual appearance have to be improved. We won't give up :)
Experiment 3: Finally something that looks decent! Frosting comes in oreo and milo favours, but it's a pity that the frosting clumps together and is not as smooth in texture as we originally thought. The uneven rise in some of the cupcakes is due to the absence of eggs.
Seems like more experiments need to be done, and the fun shall continue!
